Public Address Systems
Public Address systems allow audio announcements to be made throughout train stations, airports, sports arenas, oil and gas installations, car parks, public spaces, schools, prisons and every other type of commercial or industrial premises. These announcements can be manual, via microphones, or automated from computerised storage of speech files generating the appropriate message to a single zone or multiple zones with simultaneous outputs.
Fenton UK can design, supply, install and commission:
- Manual or automated Systems
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integrated systems
- Induction Loop technology;
- Radio Public Address (RPA) technology.
- Ambient noise sensing technology.
Within the rail environment a range of systems are provided to suit above-ground or sub-surface railway sites, compliant with BS5839 where required. System design includes:
- System status and failure mode monitoring.
- System diversity, including stand-by amplification and power supply resilience.
- Integration with fire alarm systems.
- Emergency digital voice announcers in conjunction with train-mass detection systems or signalling circuitry.
- Remote broadcast facilities.
- Ambient noise sensing technology.
- Induction loop technology.
Digital voice announcers are provided with the latest software front-ends to meet the requirements of operating busy transport networks. These systems offer text to speech, and integration with Customer information Systems.
Speaker systems are provided combining operational and aesthetic requirements. Performance is assured by the use of specialist acoustic consultants who undertake software modelling to provide predicted RASTI and sound pressure levels and to recommend additional acoustic treatments.
